Digidesign Releases D-fx Effects Plug-Ins

Digidesign announced today the release of D-fxTM, a package of AudioSuiteTM Plug-Ins for Pro Tools® 4.0 software. D-fx includes an AudioSuite version of D-Verb, their highly respected reverb Plug-In, and Chorus, Flanger, Multi-Tap Delay and Ping-Pong Delay effects. D-fx is the perfect companion to any AudiomediaTM or Pro Tools ProjectTM system running Pro Tools 4.0 Software. As it is an AudioSuite package, D-fx can also be used with Pro Tools PowerMixTM (Pro Tools stand-alone Software running on a Power PCTM-based Macintosh).
The AudioSuite Plug-In specification developed by Digidesign provides a file-based processing alternative to the real-time processing capabilities of TDM-based Pro Tools III systems. AudioSuite Plug-ins such as D-fx are not hardware dependent (TDM Plug-Ins utilize the Pro Tools DSP Farm hardware card), so they may be used interchangeably on any of Digidesign's PowerPC-compatible audio systems running the Pro Tools 4.0 software or host-based Pro Tools PowerMixTM.
Available now at a suggested US list price of just $249.00, D-fx offers the perfect balance between functionality and affordability. Andy Cook, D-fx Product Manager remarks, "D-fx offers an ideal array of time-domain effects to complement any system running Pro Tools 4.0 software. In particular, D-fx gives these customers access to D-Verb, a TDM Plug-In that has become virtually mandatory among Pro Tools III users."
