Glyph Introduces the Dig-o-matic(TM) Digital I/O Card September 26, 1997Glyph Technologies is introducing Dig-o-matic(TM), a low cost, 2 channel, PCI digital I/O card for Macintosh. Dig-o-matic will support most stand alone and integrated MIDI/digital audio recording and editing programs through the Apple Sound Manager.
The Dig-o-matic is a simple to use solution utilizing the S/PDIF digital I/O interface. Two RCA connectors on the card handle the 2 channel I/O. A simple driver configures the card to support almost all popular digital audio editing software from Digidesign, BIAS, Emagic, Steinberg, Opcode, MOTU, Macromedia and others. Dig-o-matic is also excellent for audio I/O usage in Quicktime Development.
"We discovered a growing demand for an easy to use, inexpensive digital I/O product for PCI based Power Macintosh. Dig-o-matic allows Power Mac users with digital audio editing software to work within the digital domain at a minimal cost." says Steve Gorney, president of Glyph. "Users are no longer constricted by the mini headphone jack, suspect quality, analog I/O on the Mac's motherboard.
Dig-o-matic for Macintosh is scheduled to ship by December 1st, 1997. The manufacturer's suggested retail price is $399.00. The card will support PC compatible systems in the 1st Quarter of 1998. For more information, visit their web site at www.glyphtech.com. |
