Soundtracs Exhibits Topaz Consoles

September 26, 1997

Soundtracs, leading manufacturer of mixing consoles for the professional audio market since 1972, is showing the range of Topaz mixing consoles at this year's AES Convention.

The rack-mountable Topaz 12-4 features 3-band EQ, 2 aux sends, 4 mono mic/line inputs, and an additional 2 stereo FX returns to make a total of 16 inputs available for mixing. All inputs have solo and mute and can be routed to a stereo bus with output fader control, or to the LR mix bus. The Main outputs are balanced XLRs, and RCA connectors are provided for tape ins and outs. Soundtracs has incorporated high-quality 60mm faders and mic pre-amps which elevates this mixer's performance into a class of its own. The Topaz 12-4 has a suggested retail price of $449.00.

With all the features of the Topaz 12-4, plus ten premium phantom-powered mic pre-amps with 3-band EQ, 2 aux sends and a solo, mute, group assign and fader, the Topaz 14-4 is a unique addition to the Topaz range. A 4 bus console with balanced XLR outputs for the main LR, the Topaz 14-4 is easy to configure for a wide range of applications. The high gain aux sends permit optimum S/N performance from effects units, while the 2 stereo inputs and 2 stereo effects returns make the Topaz 14-4 equally at home in live sound, recording and fixed installations. The Topaz 14-4 has a suggested retail price of $599.00.

The Topaz 24-4 provides all the features of the 14-4, with the addition of ten more ultra-low distortion mic pre-amps. Suitable for both live and studio situations which require a number of simultaneous microphone inputs, the 24-4 features 4 main mix buses, solo and mute functions, high quality faders, switchable pre/post on aux 1, XLR balanced mix outputs and a total of 28 inputs to mix, including the two stereo effects returns. The Topaz 24-4 has a suggested retail price of $1099.00.
