Steinberg Releases Producer Pac/24 Professional Music Production Package
 September 26, 1998Steinberg, the market leader of software companies on both the Macintosh and Windows platforms, today announced the release of the Steinberg Producer Pac/24 for both Mac and Windows platforms, with all the essential elements of professional music production. It provides music recording and editing capabilities, with mastering tools and CD burning facilities.
Producer Pac/24 Mac is available now at Steinberg dealers in the US for a MSRP of $999 and includes:
- Cubase VST/24 4.0: Integrated digital audio and MIDI recording and editing environment. Includes 24-bit 96kHz audio on up to 96 audio channels and Steinberg VST (Virtual Studio Technolgy).
- Wave Renaissance Compressor: A DSP PlugIn for mastering and tracking. The Renaissance Compressor creates the warm sound qualities and simple operation of classic analog hardware in the digital domain.
- Prosoniq SonicWorx Essential: A powerful audio editing application that works directly with Cubae VST/24's files plus non destructive editing and full undo functions with 24-bit support.
- Spectral Design Free Filter: A DSP PlugIn that is a realtime linear phase 1/3-Octave EQ tool with 30 bands and both logarithmic and linear modes.
- Adaptec Jam: A CD recording program that takes the finished audio mixes created by Cubase VST/24 and allows the track to be ordered and non-destructively matched in level for the final burning to CD-R.
