Yorkville Debuts PowerMAX Powered Mixers
September 26, 1998Yorkville engineering has raised the bar in high-end powered mixers with the new PowerMAX console powered mixers which provide four channel built-in amplification delivering up to 2,100 watts -- double the power of their Audiopro predecessors. Amplifiers are configured to handle 2 x 800W @ 4 ohms for mains and 2 x 275W @ 4 ohms for monitors.
PowerMAX mixers include desirable professional features such as: Mid frequency sweep (100Hz-8kHz), Switchable hi-pass filtering, Aux send (post EQ & fader), Mute and Solo switching, Solo AFL/PFL select, Stereo graphic EQ on mains, 2 monitor graphic EQs, dual mode digital effects processor (255 presets stereo or 2 x 16 mono), phantom power and easy access top-mounted input/output jacks with flexible patching. Cooling is maintained by two 80mm variable speed fans.
The PowerMAX16 includes 12 mono mic/Iine balanced channel inputs and 2 stereo line level channels (13-16) while the PowerMAX22 has 18 mono channels and 2 stereo channels (19-22). Mono channels above six also feature Yorkville's group-defeatable autogain circuitry.
