transforming your computer into a powerful, high-

intuitive production tools.
AXE's amazing flexibility comes from an advanced sample
engine that can combine hundreds of individual percussion
loops in countless ways. AXE' (Brazilian for "Good Luck") takes
advantage of your computer's inherent ability to be a completely
interactive multitrack music machine. Select from a list of single
instrument loops, add or subtract loops until the groove feels right, then
simply save them to your hard disk. Or let the computer mix it up and
save the ones you like!

The complete version of AXE' contains 817 sound events, including 673
loops based on rhythmic phrases of typical individual Brazilian
percussion instruments. Tempos range from 60 to 160 bpm. Plus you
get 131 instrument sounds and 9 groove examples, all of them high
quality at 44kHz and 16 bit.
The loops are precisely tempo-tuned to ensure seamless mixing and the
highest possible number of groove combinations.
The revolutionary interface represents a real step forward in groove
construction thanks to IK's exclusive GrooveMakerTM; an interactive
multimedia environment that lets you create a seemingly endless variety
of grooves in uniquely intuitive ways.
The MANUAL GrooveMakerTM provides the most control
by giving you instant access to all the loops contained in the
CD-ROM in an 8-track percussion machine environment. With
a simple click, you can quickly browse through all the loops
contained on the CD and easily combine them by dropping them in and
out as you listen. Save what you like and continue mixing. But AXE
doesn't stop there.
The AUTO GrooveMakerTM is like having a group of
virtual percussionists in your computer. With a simple click the
application randomly assembles loops for you based on
timbral brightness, tempo and complexity. Not only fast, but
musical! But the fun really begins when the application makes subtle
changes to the grooves, instrument by instrument, loop by loop, just like
a real jam session that grooves perpetually and never repeats itself.
When you hear something you like, mark it and come back to it later.
You can even "save on the fly" without interrupting the flow.
AXE' will save the separated loops in numbered folders on your hard
disk so you can easily retrieve them for use in your audio sequencer or
sampler. In all you can create more than 20,000,000 different groove
combinations, all 100% royalty free.

Requirements:
Power Macintosh® or Macintosh® 68040, 640 x 480 monitor at 256 colors, 16
MB RAM, system 7.5.1 or later, a 2x CD-ROM drive. A multimedia or better
loudspeaker system is strongly recommended. The application also runs on
Powerbook® series computers but due to the limited audio performance of these
computers, we suggest not to use it when audio sync is relevant.
PentiumTM/486 DX2 66 or better processor, at least 256 colors, 2x CD-ROM
drive, 16 MB RAM, 16 bit Sound BlasterTM or WindowsTM compatible card,
system WindowsTM 3.11 or WindowsTM 95. A multimedia or better loudspeaker
system is highly recommended.
