Grover Pro Percussion Officially Unveils Performance Drumsets(TM) At Winter NAMM November 27, 1997Woburn, Massachusetts- Grover Pro Percussion will officially unveil the new Performance Drumset at the 1998 Winter NAMM Show in Los Angeles. Grover sneak previewed their Performance Drumsets at the
1997 Summer NAMM show in Nashville. Grover is now officially in full production with their
Performance Drumsets and will announce their dealer participation programs in Los Angeles.
The Maple Series Performance Drumset features an exclusive Designer Italian Ligna Finish. The shell
includes 10 plies of American Rock Maple (8-ply toms) with an outer ply of imported, hand-select
Italian wood that is chosen for its beautiful grain pattern and rich finish. "The combination of
these woods produce a strong drum shell with an inherently warm timbre that increases projection and
power, as well as sensitivity and response," stated Neil Grover, president of Grover Pro Percussion.
Configurations and pricing will be announced at Winter NAMM in Los Angeles.
The CST(TM) Series Performance Drumset utilizes state-of-the-art composite shell technology. This
exclusive technology combines resins with a synthetic fiber, called E-glass, that forms the drum
shell from the inside-out to ensure consistent wall density. E-glass is a durable and stable,
high-tech composite which resonates with a distinctive, powerful bright tone. CST(TM) drums feature
eight high-gloss, polished finishes.
All Performance Drumsets now include a Free 5x10" PowerPicc (see other press release for more
details).
The Performance Snare Drums features the new Performance Snare System non-spiral snare wire for
increased projection and sensitivity and a Gladstone-style throw off. All drums feature die-cast
"coffin-style" lugs with rubber bushings that allow the shell to vibrate freely, precision bearing
edges for minimal head-to-shell contact, 2.3mm hoops isolated with nylon washers, and a nodal
venting system which places an air-dispersion vent in the drum's "sweet" spot (near the bottom drum
head) to produce a faster transient attack. For more information, visit their web site at www.groverpro.com. |
