Steinberg/Propellerhead Release ReBirth 1.5 for Windows and Mac July 1, 1997
Steinberg North America and Propellerheads Software of Sweden, today announced the
release of version 1.5 of the highly acclaimed ReBirth 338 software program for the Windows 95 and MAC OS plaforms
ReBirth is a virtual synthesizer that emulates the classic analog sound of two 303 Basslines and one 808 Drum Machine. The
authenic Techno sounds are calculated in realtime on the computers' host processor. ReBirth RB 338 version 1.5 now offers
some significant new features:
MIDI-Control: Every single control-element in ReBirth is controllable via MIDI instead of mouse-only controlled
knob-adjustments. The learn function helps to automatically assign the most important.
PCF: The new Pattern Controlled Filter is a new resonance-filter with incredible effects on the processes instrument (303 or
808). Applied to the 808 PCF produces especially "spaced-out" results.
Sychronization- Engine: A LED shows all the time every beat of the received MIDI-Clock allowing for seamless integration with
MIDI sequencer.
Realtime Sync Mode: during Stop/Continue, Fast Forward/Rewind or even during loading of new songs. Even switching songs
in sync-mpde is possible. Receiving the next downbeat, ReBirth starts playback of the new song. Ideal for Live Performances
Mac-Version now directly accepts Windows 95 song-files
An LED show incoming MIDI-Data and the new Tap-Recording supports realtime-programming of 303 and 808 with the
TAB-Key.
ReBirth is now available at Steinberg dealers now for a MSRP of US $199. The Update from 1.0 to 1.5 is free for all registered
users of ReBirth 338 1.0. Download from www.steinberg.net or www.propellerheads.se. |
