Peavey Introduces EVH Wolfgang Vintage Gold Guitar and Other Accessories
January 1, 1997 Peavey Electronics Corporation announces the introduction of the EVH
WolfgangTM Vintage Gold guitars, as well
as the EVH WolfgangTM gig bag, guitar
strap, and guitar strings.
The EVH Wolfgang Vintage Gold is the newest addition to the Peavey's collaboration with legendary guitarist Edward Van Halen. Combining Edward's insight with Peavey's expertise in guitar manufacturing, the EVH Wolfgang Vintage Gold is a versatile, fully-professional instrument with a personality all its own.
The offset cutaway, arched-top body is made from the solid basswood with a select maple top for crisp attack and warm sustain. The stunning, single-piece bird's-eye maple neck features a 22-fret bird's-eye fingerboard cut from the same piece of wood as the neck to keep the color and grain patterns consistent.
Two Peavey humbucking pickups, custom-wound to Edward's strict specifications, supply plenty of output with low-noise operation. A master volume, master tone, and three-way selector provide a wide variety of tonal possibilities.

Offering reliable protection without the weight and bulk of a hard case, the American-made gig bag was developed for the EVH Wolfgang guitar, but will accommodate other guitar models as well. The outer shell is made from Duro-TuffTM fabric to resist weather and normal wear and tear; inside, high-density foam add another layer of protection. The fabric has superior tear strength and is puncture-resistant. With dual shoulder straps and oversized zippers, the bag also is printed with the signature red, black, and white Edward Van Halen pattern.
The EVH Wolfgang guitar strap was developed with Edward Van Halen as a companion piece to the EVH Wolfgang guitars. Its length can be adjusted via a trip of VelcroTM on the front of the strap, which is made from high-quality, heavyweight leather-like material. The strap is available in black, brown, and tan and features the EVH Wolfgang logo embroidered on the the front of the strap.
