Grover Pro Percussion Announces Bamboo Timpani
MalletsFeature German felt, precision turned quality
bamboo shafts. January 4, 1998Grover Pro Percussion will display their new line of Artist Choice Bamboo
Timpani Mallets at this year's Winter NAMM show in Los Angeles.
Artist Choice Bamboo Timpani Mallets (MSRP $44) are available in five models
including: General, Staccato, Ultra Staccato, Cad-wheel and Hard General. All
mallet balls are meticulously hand sewn with the finest German felt. Shafts are
precision turned from high-quality bamboo and are weight and pitched paired, insuring
proper balance.
"Due to the difficulty of manufacturing bamboo, it has taken us over
two years of R&D to bring a quality bamboo timpani mallet to the market,"
commented Andy Rega, VP of Operations. "Bamboo shafts provide the performing
timpanist with an alternative feel to our standard Maple shafts. They are much
fighter in weight and more flexible."
