The new Bastard from Rio Grande satisfies a major
need for guitarists who own humbucking guitars and long for a more retro sound.
This little baby packs all the punch and crunch of the 50's "bar" style pickups
(and more) into a humbucking sized package. That's right, the Bastard will drop
into most guitars cut for humbuckers with no modifications to the instrument.
Powered by the beefiest Alnico 5 magnets, the Bastard delivers in output,
clarity, fatness, and the sweet sustain that certain players seek out the old
"bars" for. Six polepiece screws adjust for string balance and two screws for
height adjustment.
Rio Grande is offering the Bastard in no less than five fantastic colors:
