Allen & Heath GR05 Four-Zone Mixer Unveiled
 March 31, 1998Allen & Heath will be expanding its Contractor Series at NSCA with the launch of the GR05. At first glance, the GR05 is a four-zone mixer featuring two mic inputs and three stereo line inputs, with front panel level control on all inputs and outputs. Mic inputs are on balanced XLRs and have rear gain trims, three-color LED meters and comprehensive EQ, specially designed for speech frequencies.
All outputs have VCA remote control, EQ and LED metering, plus assignable on/off switching. Its 1U case has removable ears for rack or desk mounting.
The unit's true versatility lies in a number of internal jumpers and trimmers, which the installer can use to create a custom package for each installation. These links configure resources such as phantom power, pads, filters, routing matrix, priority ducking and ganging of multiple zone outputs.
To protect the setup and facilitate user operation, all front panel controls can be removed and plugged.
The GR05 is fitted with Allen & Heath's SYS-LINK(TM) interconnection system, allowing buss level linkage to other GR05s, GR1s, the WZ14:4:2 and all GL Series consoles. For more information, visit their web site at www.allen-heath.com. |
