Generalmusic Announces Audio/Video Interface for WK4, SK88, and SK76
May 20, 1998Generalmusic's new Audio/Video Interface With Vocal Processor can add numerous A/V and processing features to the company's popular WK4, SK88 and SK76 synths.
The optional circuit board enables the WK4, SK88 or SK76 to function in an enhanced Karaoke fashion by displaying a songs melody, lyrics and chords on any standard television. The interface also features two audio inputs that enable microphones or electronic instruments to be patched in to take advantage of the synths extensive on-board effects.
The sophisticated Vocal Processor function allows up to four harmony lines to be added to any sound source (i.e. - voice, guitar or external synth), creating extraordinary vocal harmonies in real time. Three operating modes are available, including Chord (harmonizes input to fit the chords played in Style Mode), Vocoder (harmonizes with the notes played in real time on the keyboard) and Unison (adds up to four notes to the voice with specified detune). In addition, the processor can be controlled by a pre-programmed sequence track, enabling harmony parts to be stored and recalled with songs.
