Sunhawk and Warner Bros. Publications Sign Landmark Internet Publishing Deal

Sunhawk Corporation gains access to best-selling titles

Seattle-based Sunhawk Corporation (www.sunhawk.com), a pioneer in the delivery of digital sheet music, and the global leader in print Warner Bros. Publications have signed a long-term agreement that will bring innovative Solero(TM) technology to the $600 million-a-year international printed sheet music industry. Under the terms of the agreement, selections from Warner's sheet music catalog will be distributed online by Sunhawk Corporation.

The deal will set the standard for Internet sheet music distribution and bring interactive sheet music products to music buyers worldwide from Sunhawk's web site at http://www.sunhawk.com/. Now, web-savvy music lovers can expect to use their home PCs to play, print and purchase sheet music by today's superstars.

"This global agreement reinforces the publishing industry's acceptance of digital delivery of sheet music products," says Marlin Eller, chairman of Sunhawk Corporation. "We were the first company to deliver playable, printable sheet music in the Solero format, while protecting artists' copyrights. Warner Bros. Publications is planning to convert selections from its extensive catalog over the next year. "After an exhaustive review of existing technologies, we selected Sunhawk as our online sheet music distributor," says Fred Anton, president of Miami-based Warner Bros. Publications. "We were very impressed with the company's engraving, distribution and encryption technology that protects our copyrighted material while giving music buyers access to an invaluable learning and performing tool."

"We believe that this will benefit our valuable dealer network by providing them with convenient access to an extensive catalog of best-selling sheet music titles," says Anton. "Our company has historically brought innovative sales-building resources, such as Sunhawk's Solero technology, to the trade."

With Solero software, music lovers can use a multimedia PC to play and print engraving-quality scores. Users can also change note color, page layout, tempo and choose from 175 different instruments during playback. Musicians can learn their parts by clicking on "solo" in the music viewer, or "turn off" their part so they can play along with the karaoke-like performance.
