New Electronic Studio/Pro Cymbal Triggers from SEP

June 10, 1998

Shafers Electronic Percussion (SEP) introduced a new line of affordable electronic cymbals as part of their Studio/Pro series electronic drum system. The Studio/Pro electronic cymbals offer the electronic and acoustic drummer a professional quality e-cymbal that looks and plays like a real cymbal, while offering endless percussion sounds and effects to any setup.

The cymbals are injection molded using a hi-impact plastic. With a trigger located near the center of the cymbal, separate bell/edge sounds can be acheived with some drum modules. Each cymbal has a rubber vibration isolator at the attachment point to reduce crosstalk and false triggers from other hardware. They also feature a 10" long lead wire connected to a 1/4" steel jack.

The cymbals are available in 10", 14", 16" and 18" sizes, at an introductory price of $32.95 each. Special packages of three cymbals (14", 16", 18") for $84.95, four cymbals (10", 14", 16", 18") for $99.95, and six cymbals (2×10", 14", 2×16", 18") for $159.95 are also available. As with all SEP products, the Studio/Pro cymbals carry a one year warranty against defects.
