The new AK Series basses from Hartke represent a dynamic and affordable new

This AK-4 four string model features a contoured Basswood body for more sustain
and a sleek "belly cut" design. Its slim hard maple neck incorporates
a rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets. The natural sustain and resonance of the
instruments is faithfully captured by two active "soap bar" pickups
and a 2-band active EQ system. The AK-4 also features a heavy-duty chrome bridge,
adjustable truss rod and wide-ranging volume and tone controls.
With no compromises in quality and a typically innovative Hartke design, the
new AK-5 five string bass is the ideal instrument for expanding your style without
going over budget. Like the AK-4, it has a specially contoured Basswood body for
more sustain and lightweight comfort along with a special "belly cut"
