Cubase VST from Steinberg Optimized for Intel's

Steinberg, a worldwide music software leader, today announced that Cubase
version 3.65, a software program for the composition and recording of music, supports
the new Pentium III Systems from Intel.
Cubase VST is the complete recording studio for the PC. The multi awarded
"Virtual Studio Technology" offers up to 96 Tracks of Digital Audio, Record and
Playback in up to 24 Bit and up to 96 kHz. Additionally Cubase VST offers a complete
Mixer with Equalizers, realtime effects, submixer, and seamless integration of
software synthesizers such as Propellerhead's ReBirth 338. Cubase VST 3.65 now
utilizes in all processing intensive cases the new PIII's Streaming SIMD Extensions.
This enhances drastically Audio In- and Output, mixing and processing of one or
multiple streams of digital audio. The Streaming SIMD Extensions are a new instruction
set with new registers, integrated into the new PIII architecture.
With Cubase VST 3.65 the user experiences more simultaneous tracks of audio
in highest quality (24 bit/96 kHz), more realtime equalizers, more realtime effects
resulting in much higher creative potential for sound design and music recording.
Steinberg Cubase VST 3.65 is available March 15, 1999, free of charge to all
registered users of Cubase VST 3.6.
