Ibanez Adds Smaller Priced Version Of
Smaller Guitar
April 25, 1999
Ibanez' "mini-dreadnought" Daytripper acoustics are one of
Ibanez' best selling acoustic guitars ever, according to Ritchie Umemura
of Ibanez USA's Acoustic Guitar Division. "That's because the Daytripper
isn't just a 'travel guitar--it's a real guitar. The Daytripper uses standard
tuning and it has a full size guitar sound--just without the full size,"
commented Mr. Umemura. "So it's been a great seller to players on
the road and teachers who want a serious guitar for their smaller students.
With the new DT5's even more affordable price, we expect even better sales
for our Ibanez acoustic dealers." The DT5 mini-dreadnought features
spruce top, mahogany neck, back and sides, and rosewood bridge and fretboard.
List price is $229.99.
