Innova-Son Expands Sensory Live Series Consoles

Digital production console range expands to 3 models

September 12, 2000

Pro Sound International (PSI) announces the expansion of the Innova-Son Sensory Live Series of digital audio production consoles to include 3 models. PSI is the exclusive U.S. distributor for French manufacturer Innova-Son. The Sensory Live Series has been expanded to include 3 models, each offering dedicated functions, configurations and options to satisfy a wide variety of applications:

  • Essential Live provides 48 inputs, 20 auxiliary buses switchable pre/post per channel, plus left, right and mono master output buses.
  • Grand Live expands the configuration to include additional inputs, Stage Box, and enhanced automation software functions.
  • Digital Live also offers additional inputs, including the ability to introduce 8 digital inputs into the system, plus Stage Box and expanded automation capabilities.

The Innova-Son Sensory Live Series combines the functionality of a typical analog FOH or stage monitor console with the advantages of a fully digital signal path and computer control of all parameters, including input patching and output distribution, to provide a cost-effective solution for many applications. Providing instant reset of every console parameter, comprehensive onboard dynamic processing, and compact, lightweight and rugged construction, the Sensory Live Series offers an economical package for concert production companies, theater installations and broadcast facilities.

All 3 models share the new Sensoft V 6 software, which provides comprehensive management of all console functions with extensive off- and on-line editing capabilities. The new Version 6 of Sensoft has been introduced to support Hyper Driver, which expands the processing functions of the Sensory Live Series system. Hyper Driver will handle the control of all parameters of an 8-band parametric EQ, dynamic processing and delay function on all of the mix bus outputs. All input channels include a gate/expander, compressor/limiter and 4-band parametric EQ as standard, provided by the onboard 40-bit floating point DSP.

The Stage Box provides mic preamps at the stage, with remote control from the console of all input parameters, including gain and phantom power. This allows the replacement of conventional multiway cabling systems with a single multiplexing coaxial cable. The Stage Box also acts as an active digital splitter system, providing feeds for monitor console systems, recording and broadcast.
