Limited Edition Epiphone NASCAR Rocks Les Paul

Gibson's Epiphone division has signed a licensing agreement with NASCAR to
sell limited edition NASCAR Rocks Epiphone guitars. The guitar is a 3/4 size Les
Paul shaped guitar and includes gigbag, strap, and cord. The guitar is available
through Epiphone dealers and NASCAR Thunder stores. This announcement adds to
the momentum of the Gibson-NASCAR connection as Gibson/ Epiphone are sponsors
of the current 32-city tour, NASCAR Rocks On the Road with the Allman Brothers
30th Anniversary. NASCAR is currently ranked the number one spectator sport in
America and a licensing/product powerhouse.
"It's very exciting to be involved with NASCAR Rocks," commented
Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz. "There's a strong correlation between the excitement
and roar of a race and the high energy of a rock concert. By offering this guitar
and sponsoring the tour, we think we're getting the best of both worlds."
As part of the promotion, participating dealers in the NASCAR Rocks markets
are offering consumers free "Gibson Rocks NASCAR" bumper stickers to
promote the relationship.
The limited edition Epiphone guitar is the second in a series of Gibson NASCAR-related
guitars. Gibson's Custom Shop division worked with Sam Bass (highly acclaimed
NASCAR artist) to create the exclusive Dale Earnhardt guitar. Both the Epiphone
and Dale Earnhardt guitar can be seen at participating dealers in NASCAR Rocks
tour markets.
