Creamware Updates Pulsar, Adds Mac Support
December 30, 1999
CreamWare's DSP system Pulsar is now available in software version 1.3. As
with all of the earlier updates, this one includes a variety of new software devices.
Eighteen new modules for the Modular Synthesizer have been added, as well as eight
DSP effects (for details see list below).
The new version also brings optimizations and improvements to the stability
of the important fundamental functions of Pulsar. The various drivers (DirectSound,
ASIO, MME) have been reworked, drastically reducing latency in the process.
Further noteworthy items include an improved BigMixer device, even more convenient
control of CreamWare's tripleDAT HDR system from Pulsar, and a completely revised
manual for the Modular Synthesizer. Pulsar v1.3 is compatible with all new Plug-Ins
available in CreamWare's Online Shop
(e.g. the STS-4000 Sampler, SPL Transient Designer, SB 404 and EDS 16i).s.
Version 1.3 is also the first cross-platform version - it is also available
for Apple Macintosh computers, with almost identical features. The update to version
1.3 can be downloaded from the CreamWare homepage for free. There are also update
CD-ROMs available free of charge via authorized dealers.
