Fresh off the drawing board at Crate
Pro Audio come the Studio Module Series.Five in all, the 1/3 rack space Studio
Module Series includes the SM1-SP Digital Effects Processor, SM2-SRS Sound Retrieval
System, SM3-PE 3 Band Parametric EQ, SM4-CL Stereo Compressor and the SM5-HP 5-Channel
Headphone Amplifier.
Double the digital effects of other modules in its class, the SM1-SP contains
32 programs including reverb, delay, chorus, flange and rotary. Plus, it offers
the ability to edit one parameter in real time.
Utilizing patented Dynamic 3-D technology to simulate 3-D sound from just
two channels, the SM2-SRS converts mono-source material, creating stereo imagery.
Incorporated by electronic giants such as Apple, RCA, Mitsubishi, and IBM the
SRS (sound retrieval system) has the ability to expand the "sweet spot,"
as well as increase the overall sound dimension, of a stereo P.A. system.
The SM3-PE contains a 3-band parametric EQ and can be used to fine tune drums
& mics. It can also be used as a notch filter with up to 30 dB of gain reduction
to eliminate feedback and unwanted noise. Another key feature of the SM3-PE is
its ability to eliminate feedback with wireless mics, (problems typical for a
house of worship). For this application the parametric EQ has the capability to
dial in the problem frequency and fine tune the width of the problem area, reducing
it as much as 30dB.
Modeled after the classic analog solid state compressors of the 70's (long
prized by studios for their transparency and natural sound) the SM4-CL offers
two completely independent mono compressors in one compact unit. This design makes
a gradual transition from hard to soft as the compression ratio is changed from
2:1 to 20:1 for maximum quality and performance.
Good for the recording studio, project studio, post production and broadcast
use, the SM5-HP offers 5-channel headphone amplification with individual volume
level for personal comfort level.
