November 23, 1999
Wave Digital has received certification from music industry
software manufacturers including Cakewalk, Emagic, Lexicon, Sonic Foundry and
Steinberg to pre-configure their programs on Wave Distributions new StudioPC
line of music production computers.
StudioPC
is a line of IBM-compatible computers individually designed to each customers
specifications. Customers can choose from a variety of hardware and software options
to meet the needs of any music production scenario. Using the customer specified
hardware and software, Wave Digital pre-configures, optimizes and tests the workstation
so that it will be up and running quickly and with minimum effort.
"Certification from all of the major manufacturers lets the industry
know that we are building and delivering a quality product," explains Gil
Griffith, president of Wave Distribution. "The concept of offering pre-configured,
custom computers specifically for music production is now a reality and is endorsed
by the software developers. Our StudioPC line will assist them in selling their
software to music professionals who do not have the time, patience, or knowledge
to set-up their own music production workstation."
Wave Digital is following the success model of companies, such as Dell and
Gateway, who offer custom pre-configured computers to homes and businesses around
