SpinAudio Releases Free VST-to-DirectX Converter
December 5, 1999 SpinAudio Software, a developer
of audio processing plug-ins, announces VST-DX Wrapper Lite, which is now available
for free download.
VST-DX Wrapper Lite is a DirectX (DX) audio plug-in that allows you to use
VST audio plug-ins in applications which support only DirectX plug-ins, such as
Sonic Foundry’s Sound Forge, Vegas Pro, Acid, Cakewalk Pro Audio, and others.
VST-DX Wrapper Lite has the following features:
- VST plug-in is displayed in a single window like a general DirectX plug-in.
- VST presets are mapped onto DirectX static presets so you can easily select
VST programs.
- The fully functional interface for editorless plug-ins is provided.
- The state of VST plug-in can be saved as a DirectX preset.
- VST plug-in can be selected for the automatic loading on Wrapper startup.
- Both 16-bit and 24/32-bit inputs are supported.
VST-DX Wrapper Lite runs on Windows 95/98 and Windows NT systems with an Intel
Pentium or compatible CPU. The minimum system requirements are a Pentium 100,
16 MB of RAM, and 1MB of free hard disk space.
The Pro version that will allow you to do individual wrapping along with skins
support for editorless plug-ins is planned to be released in February.
