Roger Mayer has released his latest guitar effect, the
Vision Wah. His design breaks from traditional wah pedal designs by doing away
with the potentiometer (nothing to go scratchy) and footswitch. Other major features
include 16 sweep ranges, 100% bypass switching, and a blend control for mixing
the wah tone with the dry sound.
The Vision Wah eliminates the potentiometer by replacing it with a non-contact
sensor. Instead of a footswitch, it uses an electronic pressure switch. The top
tredle is made of a carbon composite material, making it strong yet lightweight.
The top plate is also balanced to so it will stay where it's left. The Vision
Wah also has an adjustable Nylon bearing making pedal travel silky smooth, and
can be powered by a 9 Volt battery or extrenal power supply.
The Vision Wah carries a list price of $449 (suggested retail is $369).
