CreamWare tripleDAT 3.0 Now Available August 18, 1999
The long-awaited new version of CreamWare's tripleDAT hard
disk recording system is now available. tripleDAT, the proven, professional HDR
system for the PC platform, offers multi-track recording, precise editing, extensive
possibilities for effects processing and arranging, and Red Book-compatible CD
burning. tripleDAT comprises recording software and a four-channel audio card
with analog and S/PDIF I/O.
Along with several new functions, improvements and bug fixes (see the list
below for details), the most significant new development with version 3.0 is the
integration with Pulsar and SCOPE, CreamWare's DSP-based audio platforms.
Owners of both systems can access the high-quality inputs and outputs of Pulsar
(twenty) or SCOPE (twenty-four) directly from within tripleDAT. This also makes
it possible to record up to sixteen tracks at one time in tripleDAT. Each track
can optionally be recorded to its own hard disk, permitting multichannel recording
sessions spanning several hours. Furthermore, HDR tracks can be routed internally
from tripleDAT into Pulsar/SCOPE, where they can be mixed and processed through
effects on the DSP card, thereby unburdening the PC. External effects can also
be successfully integrated, since the Pulsar/SCOPE DSP environment does not suffer
from latencies associated with block-transfer of data. Hard disk tracks can also
serve as signal sources for various Pulsar/SCOPE sound generating devices such
as the Vocoder or the Modular synth. New in Version 3.0:
- Direct integration with CreamWare's Pulsar and SCOPE DSP platforms
- Multichannel recording of up to sixteen tracks simultaneously
- 96kHz support
- Direct integration of WAV and AIF files
- Split Multiple Samples function
- Sophisticated file handling
- Many improvements and bug fixes
The update to version 3.0 is provided free of charge to registered users of
tripleDAT and TDAT16. Update CDs are available from dealers. The update can also
