October 9, 2000 Taylor Guitars has created a new, limited edition series of "extra value" guitars, featuring high-grade wood substitutions and a custom, abstract inlay on the back (one of the two versions of which is modified to compliment the cutaways on models that double as acoustic-electrics).
The Fall 2000 Limited Editions bridge various price points by fusing higher-end materials and accouterments to more affordable models. The new guitars are available in Dreadnought or Grand Auditorium body styles and are based on Taylor's extremely popular 300 and 400 Series guitars, and also on the most popular of the deluxe Taylors, the 800 Series.
The new 300s will feature solid koa backs and sides, the 400s will have solid maple backs and sides, and the 800s will feature Engelmann spruce tops and Brazilian rosewood backs and sides. The cutaway model 300s and 400s feature Fishman Prefix electronics, and the new 800 cutaways have the Fishman Onboard Blender.
The Fall 2000 Limited Editions will run through the end of the year. For more information, visit their web site at www.taylorguitars.com. |
