September 25, 2000GMEDIA Technology
plc, manufacturers of the Phat.Boy MIDI
controller, have released a new sample CD based on the UK Garage
scene.
The UK Garage heritage can be traced back to the early 90s when
traditional Garage had been forced underground by the proliferation
of Jungle and Hardcore.
The return of skippy 2-step bump drum tracks and the added
convergence with R&B, Disco and Swingbeat have all played a part
in creating a unique UK Garage style, and its this style that UK
Garidge and 2-Step Grooves brings you courtesy of some of the
finest programmers in the UK.
The UK Garidge and 2-Step Grooves CD is unique in offering the
choice of WAV and AIFF Audio Loops, MIDI Loops, WAV
and AIFF Individual Hits and Creative Labs SoundFonts all on
the same CDROM.
This incredible CD features Bass Instruments, Rhodes Instruments,
Organ Instruments and of course Drum Hit Loops. A huge range of
instrument hits and single loops and also included that can be
easily and quickly incorporated into any track.
The title is the result of hundreds of hours of recording,
programming and editing from some of the finest musicians and
programmers in the field, including Shane Meehan (Norman Cook /
Beverly Knight), Neil Pollard (aka Subphonic) and Dave Spiers
(Keyfax Software).
UK Garidge and 2-Step Grooves is fully compatible with the PC
and Mac.
The CD is available now from retailers (and directly from the
GMEDIA web site) for just US$49.95. For more information, visit their web site at www.gmedia.com. |
