Daisy Rock Girl Guitars will debut new guitars at the Nashville NAMM show in July. Among the models to be unveiled are
the "Daisy Artist," "Daisy Bass" and "Heartbreaker" series.
Created by designer Tish Ciravolo, Daisy Rock Girl Guitars first launched at the Winter
NAMM conference. As a result, numerous recording artists such as
Lisa Loeb, Joan Osborne, Andrea Echevem of Aterciopelados, Gwen Stefani and Jennifer
Finch have added the electric, flower-shaped guitars to their own collections.
Consequently, several players, from both genders, are in line for the Daisy Artist and
Bass models including Robert DeLeo (Stone Temple Pilots), Louise Post (Veruca Salt),
Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Beck) and Sharon Costanzo (Len).
Of this support from the artist
community, Ciravolo says, "As a musician and a mother of two girls, I originally conceived
of the Daisy Rock in order to entice young females to learn to play guitar because there's
a void in the marketplace for female-constructed guitars and basses. But I never imagined
that so many professional musicians, men and women, would want a Daisy Rock for their
own collection! It's encouraging and shows terrific promise for the desire of these
instruments."
In addition, prototypes for the new "Heartbreaker" series will also be on hand. Inspired by
the "Powerpuff Girl Daisy Rock Guitars," which Ciravolo designed exclusively for the
Cartoon Network as summer promotional give-aways, the 221/2" scale instruments boast a
heart-shaped body style, a slim profile neck contour, and Schecter Diamond Series
Humbucking Pickup. They are available in three colors; Princess Purple, Candy Apple Red,
and Black Heart.
The original patented "Daisy" shaped Daisy Rock Electric that features a 22 1/2" scale neck
is available in Pepper Mint (pink), Dreamy Daisy (yellow), and Awesome
Blue. Two new variations are now available - the 'full-size' Daisy Artist -- which is 24 3/4" scale
and has two (2) Seymour Duncan Design pickups, and the 30" scale Daisy Bass guitar.
Both feature the slim, easy-to-play neck profile that has made the Daisy Rock so popular,
as well as upgraded hardware and electronics. Complete specifications are available on-line.
Daisy Rock also offers an acoustic line available in pastel pink, yellow or blue comprised of: Jr.
Miss Acoustic -- 29 1/2" in length, a slender mini-body with a butterfly decal. It fits comfortably
in the hands of young girls ages 5 to 10 and is also a perfect travel companion for the
professional musician. Daisy Rock Acoustic is slightly larger at 39 1/4" with a super thin neck
designed for teens and adults. They also come with colorful daisy and butterfly vinyl decals so
owners can create their own style guitar bodies.
All Daisy Rock guitars come with matching gig bags that double as back-packs. For more information, visit their web site at www.daisyrock.com. |
