BIAS Deck 3.0 Features New User Interface, Adds VST Support March 30, 2001
Berkley Integrated Audio Software, Inc.announced Deck 3.0, a brand-new version of their multitrack digital audio workstation software for
Macintosh. This important upgrade expands Deck's real-time effects capabilities and includes a major update to the program's graphic user interface. BIAS
continues to develop Deck, and users can look forward to future enhancements in addition to the new features in Deck 3.0.
Closely following the recent release of Deck 2.7, which included integration of Steinberg's popular ASIO standard for third-party audio hardware, this new version
of Deck now offers support for VST, Steinberg's widely adopted real-time plug-in format. "We are pleased to bring VST support to Deck," said Jason Davies, VP of
Worldwide Sales for BIAS. "Deck has always been a leading native Macintosh multitrack editing and mixing environment. Adding support for VST plug-ins, a
standard for native audio processing on the Mac, is a natural development direction for Deck, and one that our customers will greatly benefit from."
In addition to VST plug-in support, Deck 3.0 sports a brand-new user interface. The new interface gives the program a more contemporary look, a welcome addition
since Deck's graphic user interface has largely remained the same since 1997.
