HALion VST Sampler from Steinberg Now Shipping

Steinberg North America today
announced the availability of HALion virtual
sampler for VST-compatible production systems.
HALion offers all the "typical" sampler functions the professional
musician expects. Automation and control effects via MIDI controller
data or simply tuning the samples to the right key. The embedded loop
editor of HALion shows once more how a modern software sampler should
perform. A sophisticated crossfade function helps to set the optimum
loop. Zero crossings are automatically identified and the
non-destructive editing saves faulty edit steps and samples can be
pitched, modulated or reversed. Creating complete programs and layers
fast and easy in the keyzone window
are simple tasks with HALion's intuitive editing facilities. Loading
samples in to HALion is a simple drag&drop-job directly to the
keyzone window. The samples appear graphically on the screen. Via
resizing and moving the keyzones, velocity and layers are set.
The sound quality with full 32 bit VST-power lets HALion is set new
standards in terms of sound. The various filtertypes with a cutoff
slope of up to 24db incl. a "fatness" function offers opportunities
for breathtaking sound experiences. All filters and settings can be
made global for the whole program, but also for each sample. The
perfect embedding in Cubase VST assures a sample-accurate timing.
HALion is open for important sampler formats. With WAV, AIFF, AKAI
and EMU import functionality (more to come) HALion is optimally
equipped for the world of sampling CDs.

like the most advanced GrandPiano, Studio Basses and Wizoo Quality
