December 18, 2001

Novation has announced the new K-Station, which is expected to ship in January 2002.

The K-Station is a powerful, yet compact, keyboard synthesizer and uses the A-Station sound engine. The generous control panel allows plenty of space for knobs and sliders for that all-important realtime control, whilst the blue LCD gives an ultra clear view of settings.

The K-Station is a keyboard with a broad appeal. The two octave keyboard gives it a feeling of 'modern classic', lending itself to lead instrument status. The size of the K-Station also means that it can conveniently be used in a computer music situation, or easily transported to studio or live setting.

Novation's Director of Sales Dave Caulfield commented 'Over the last few years, Novation may have been regarded only as a 'high-end' manufacturer, but the recent successful introduction of the A-Station and the arrival of the K-Station will certainly change that conception. The K-Station is especially well suited to the current market. The low price point is an important factor in establishing a good market share and, together with the A-Station, will allow Novation to increase business in today's rapidly changing market'.

The K-Station features; a 2 octave touch-sensitive keyboard with pitch and mod wheels, 8 voice polyphony with 12 band vocoder and arpeggiator, 25 knobs that transmit MIDI for instant control (sliders and buttons also transmit MIDI), audio input for processing of external signals, 400 user re-writable program memories including 200 awesome presets, superb 'liquid analog' sound, quality effects - reverb, chorus, delay, sync'd panning and distortion, main output tempo sync'd envelope filter with eq. A chorus and phaser can be tempo locked.

List price $899, MAP $699. First ship January 2002
