neXoft Software releases version 1.2 of their freeware VST drum sampler. The 48-channel, 64-voice virtual instrument has a completely new user interface with a context sensitive help system, easier sample loading and a sample delete function. Furthermore, some bugs were fixed and the plugin has been made fully compatible with VST5.0.
neXoft Software's freeware drumsampler LoopAZoid is a VST 2.0 plugin for Windows / MacOS. It features 64-voice stereo sample playback, 48 channels, 3 mutegroups, 4 stereo outputs, as well as forward and reverse sample playback on every channel. LoopAZoid's main strength is its easy handling. Samples are chosen from a file selection box, so there is no need to edit weird text configuration files. Drumkits are stored as normal VST plugin patches (*.fxp / *.fxb), and all samples and settings are saved together with the song. Alternatively, kits can be exported as patch files, which can be archived, or exchanged with others. The forward and reverse root notes are selected from a piano roll, instead of assigning a MIDI note number. Samples can be anywhere on the hard disk, there is no need to put them in special folders.
New in version 1.2:
- redesigned UI with context sensitive help system
- sample delete button
- easy sample loading directly from the slot buttons
- smaller bugfixing, VST5.0 ready
