SampleTank 1.1 Free for VST and MAS Released

In conjunction with the release of SampleTank 1.1 for VST and MAS, Italian music
software developer IK Multimedia has released SampleTank 1.1 Free.
SampleTank Free is a fully working freeware version of the sound module for VST and MAS offering all
the advantage of the full version (including 16 channels multitimbrality, up to 128 notes polyphony, 4 effects per voice
selectable from amongst 20 DSP effects, PIII and G4 optimisation and multiprocessor compatibility) and it will able to
play a range of free instruments which will be published and updated monthly on the SampleTank
website at: www.sampletank.com/Main.html?STFreeDwn.
In addition to October's release of an uncompressed Acoustic Concert Grand Piano and a Piano+Strings sound (combining an acoustic grand piano with a large strings section),
this month IK has added two new rhythmic instruments: Small Drum, a complete acoustic drum
kit with a pop-rock character and fast (controllable) decay; plus a beautiful sample of
stereo-miked Bongos with full hits and plenty of ghost-notes to add more realism to your
percussion performances.
Additional instruments will be published monthly and will be available for free download.
All the previous SampleTank demos and free instruments will be playable with the new SampleTank
Free version.
