PRESS RELEASE

Innova-Son Goes Compact with New Digital Live Console

February 10, 2001

Innova-Son announced the latest in its acclaimed Sensory line of live all-digital consoles: the Sensory Compact Live. Half the size of its larger siblings, the Essential, Grand and Digital consoles, the new Sensory Compact console is designed to make it the most flexible, affordable, and efficient tool for medium-sized applications.

To start with, the Sensory Compact Live ships with 32 mic/line inputs and eight line-only inputs feeding 32 patchable input channels, each with a digitally controlled preamp, a low-cut filter, a gate/expander, a compressor/limiter, four bands of fully-parametric equalization, and a four-digit label display. Twelve busses mix down to three masters, configurable in L/R-mono, LCR, or user-defined arrangements. Sixteen matrix outputs each carry a full compliment of digital processing, including an eight full bandwidth equalizer, a gate/expander, a compressor/limiter, and 1.3 seconds of delay. Comprehensive monitoring resources provide PLF, AFL, and APL listening at any point in the signal path.

Eschewing obsolescence, Innova-Son designed the Sensory Compact Live to grow as needs or budgets increase. A stage-box option expands the input section by 64 physical inputs with digital transmission on lightweight coaxial cable. With Innova-Son's "Hyper-link" technology, users can merge the busses of two Sensory Compact Lives together, generating twice the inputs, busses, outputs, and processing power. The feat is performed with no additional processing delay, ensuring perfect phase coherence, and individual boards can retain their distinct automation or can link together via midi. Users may link several consoles by designating one a "master".

Designed for stand-alone use with a rugged chassis, a large 12-inch screen, and a 102-key keyboard, the Sensory Compact Live still boasts a small footprint: 45.2 x 8 x 28 inches at 77.2 lbs. Continuing Innova-Son's trademark of easy-to-use, intuitive interfaces, the console uses the same straightforward operating software as the rest of the Sensory line, Sensoft V6.

The Sensory Compact Live is now shipping.

Innova-Son is distributed exclusively in the United States by Sennheiser Electronic Corporation.
