June 18, 2001TonePros, a company based in Oakdale, California, has developed the patent pending TonePros System II replacement Tune-O-Matic-style bridge and stop tailpiece designed to solve a persistant problem.
The retrofitting units retain the classic
appearance of and are designed to replace all Tune-0-Matic type and stop tailpiece systems without any
modifications. These designs do not move a single millimeter when
strings are removed for repair work or replacement. In addition, System II won't accidentally crash onto the
surface of expensive instruments, and will at all times maintain perfect intonation once the pairs of retaining Allen
screws on both the bridge and tailpiece have been locked into position.
System II
also offers the added benefit of maintaining string height during cleaning or repair operations, since it is in effect
"frozen" in position. Offered as a matching set, with threaded adjustment posts and studs, both bridge and
tailpiece are available in chrome, nickel, gold and black.
