PROEL S.p.A. has introduced the new XS series of mixers and powered mixers. This launch represents PROEL’s entrance in the world of professional live mixing. Designed and manufactured in Italy, the XS Series uses high standards of production techniques including the latest surface mounting technologies to ensure that every console is packed with features. Made entirely from steel, the XS series features a well-organised control surface where all connections, functions and knobs are easy to read and to reach. Each knob is PROEL’s own proprietary design, to make the XS Series distinguished from any other mixing console.

Three are the non-powered models available: XS8 (4 mono + 2 stereo channels), XS16 (8 mono + 4 stereo channels), XS20 (12 mono + 4 stereo channels). Each is equipped with a custom built-in digital multieffect 24-bit DSP with numeric display with 50 preset programs and 50 programmable user programs.

The XS Powered Mixers are available in three models: XS8A (2 x 150W rms/4 ohm), XS16A (2 x 250W rms/4 ohm), XS20A (2 x 350W rms/4 ohm). The low-profile power amplifiers are equipped with toroidal transformers and cooling is effected through variable speed fans, thermally controlled for low-noise operation. High level of protection is guaranteed against DC Voltage, short circuit, thermal, clipping. Normative EN60065, EN60335, EN60204 are applied during the manufacturing of the XS Powered Mixers, through the GLP2 60204 testing appliance

In addition the amplifiers are protected from damage by the PROEL’ s own OSC (Output Sense Clipping) circuitry which maintains the amplifier within the clipping limit, avoiding the creation of distortion square waves and protecting the connected speakers.
