Dean Guitars announced the release of a special edition of the guitar that set the music world afire nearly twenty-five years ago. The Dean Cadillac is back--and will now set 100 lucky owners apart from the crowd. The twenty-fifth anniversary model of the Dean Cadillac was unveiled at this winter's NAMM show and will be available in a limited quantity through the Dean Guitars dealer network starting in April 2002.

The new limited edition will personify all the Cadillac 'style and player-appeal' that guitar players came to know and fall in love with. Plus, it will be the same version that was actually never put into production for the general playing public but reserved for Dean's top Artists. Additional luxuries include the highest quality figured flame-maple tops, real abalone fingerboard inlays, 24 karat gold hardware, 7 ply body binding, 5 ply head binding and a special 25th Anniversary emblem on the headstock. Lastly, the man who created the Cadillac guitar--Dean B. Zelinsky, will personally sign and number each guitar sold from this rare edition.

"I am extremely grateful for all the success the Dean Guitar Company is experiencing today," stated Zelinsky, one of the founders of the "boutique" rock guitar back in 1977. I thought a fitting tribute would be to release several very rare guitars with my personal signature as a special thanks to all the dealers and players who have supported Dean along the way. In the case of the 25th Anniversary Cadillac, there will be only 100 produced " commented Zelinsky. "These rare collector's editions will be the same fine quality as the custom guitars we built for rock legends such as Billy Gibbons [ZZ-Top], Elliot Easton [The Cars], Nancy Wilson [Heart] and Sammy Hagar [Van Halen / Sammy Hagar], John McFee [The Doobie Bros.] to name a few," he added.

The Dean Cadillac 25th Anniversary Edition has a suggested retail price of $2899 for the two pick-up model, $2999 for the three pick-up model. Each instrument is sold complete with a hard-shell case and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
