September 27, 2002
The latest design from US Masters Guitar Works is available in either four-string or five-string, fretted or unfretted, or left-handed or right-handed.
EP4 and EP5 basses have select mahogany bodies and are fitted with rock maple necks using pao ferro (Bolivian Rosewood) fingerboards and the Ever-Tru neck design by US Masters. Less player fatigue and technique enhancement are facilitated by the conical radius fretboard of the EP4 and the offset conical radius fretboard in the EP5. The neck to body construction uses the patented US Masters Compression-set Captive Neck Joint, which is responsible for the instrument's superb structural integrity and amazing sound properties. Highly acclaimed Sperzel locking tuning machines and a Graph Tech nut make sure the basses stay in tune.
The mahogany body has a deep-penetrating oil finish for great natural beauty and resilience. A US Masters custom-made humbucking pickup and EMG active 3-band equalization are featured on both four and five string models. The body to neck is perfectly weight balanced with a deep cut-away for tremendous playing access and comfort.
The basses are made in the USA.
The EP5 has a suggested retail of $999. The EP4 has a suggested retail of $945. Fretless basses are the same price. Left-handed models are $100 more suggested list.
