New Version of Finale Focuses on Fretted Instruments

MakeMusic! Inc announced the release of its Finale Guitar music
notation product for Windows and Macintosh computers. The newest addition to the
company's award-winning Finale music notation software line offers powerful new features
for guitarists and fretted instrument players, as well as file compatibility with Finale 2003,
which the company made available earlier this year.
Features of Finale Guitar include:
- TAB notation features that allow users to enter music in a traditional staff and see it displayed automatically in a TAB staff or vice versa.
- An extensive library of special symbols and shapes used with notation for standard guitar or any of the more than fifty fretted instruments Finale Guitar supports.
- A feature that allows users to input notes with a MIDI guitar and see instant TAB notation.
- An advanced music scanning technology that provides a new level of optical music character recognition. Thus, musicians can more easily and quickly scan sheet music and turn it into a Finale file ready for editing, printing or posting on the Internet.
- A Rhyming Dictionary that enables songwriters to quickly search all possible English rhymes for any lyric.
