ESP Guitars has announced a new electric guitar as well as new colors for one of their existing electric guitar models.
The new Hybrid-300 is a solidbody electric with a slight "LP Jr." vibe and some decidedly "tele" affects. The slab mahogany body is a double cutaway style, with a three-piece mahogany neck set in. The rock is cranked out via two Duncan Designed pickups, a humbucker in the bridge position and a single coil "tele" at the neck. The flat mount, string-thru-body bridge has a classic feel with the added sustain you get when you run the strings through all that wood. The neck, with a rosewood fretboard, features 22 XJ frets, dot inlays, and the model name inlaid at the 12th fret. The Hybrid-300's headstock is our classic LTD Eclipse shape, and both head and neck are finished with white binding. This classic-vibed-yet-modern guitar comes in black, see-thru black cherry, and vintage sunburst. Suggested US list price is $599.
The Viper-301 now comes in two new colors: olympic white and vintage sunburst. ESP enthusiasts know the Viper's features: mahogany body in an offset-waist "batwing" shape, with EMG-HZ H-1 pickups, tune-o-matic bridge with stop tailpiece, three-piece mahogany neck set into the body, rosewood fretboard with flag inlays and model name inlaid at 12th fret, Eclipse shaped headstock, and white binding along the neck and headstock.
