The Lounge Lizard EP-1, an electric piano
soft synth based on physical modeling by Applied Acoustic Systems, is now available for download for
Windows PC, with the Mac version to follow shortly.
The Lounge Lizard runs on both Mac and PC and features support for the DXi,
VST, DirectConnect and MAS plug-in formats, as well as running as a
standalone application.
The Lounge Lizard uses the same physical modeling technology
utilized by the Tassman, to replicate the mechanism of an electric piano,
including the tone and tine bars, the hammer and the pick up.
Parameters such as the material of the bars, point of impact of the hammers,
and pick-up position can all be adjusted precisely enabling you to obtain a
vast range of timbres and tones.
The Lounge Lizard also features a range of high quality effects including,
wah, phaser, tremolo, and stereo delay, giving you the ability to create all
of the classic electric piano sounds such as Rhodes and Wurlitzer, as well
as a host of far out leads and rumbling basslines.
Coming with over 50 presets, and the ability to tweak and save your own
custom sounds, the warm tone of the Lounge Lizard is sure to be an excellent
addition to virtually any project.
