Clavia Brings Nord Electro up to Version 2.0 Free 2.0 software update for current Nord Electro owners available for download. Nord Electro 2 keyboards due in August. July 9, 2002 Clavia has released the V2.0 Software Upgrade and new piano sounds for the Nord Electro. The V2.0 upgrade is without doubt one of the most extensive upgrades ever made for a Clavia instrument. A lot of time and effort have been spent to take the Nord Electro to an even higher level. Here are some of the features you get by upgrading your Electro to the V2.0 software: The new Mega Clavinet - The new Clavinet instrument that comes bundled with OS V2.0 is really something above the ordinary. By utilizing the new sample playback engine capabilities, Clavia has made it possible to recreate all the different filter and pick-up settings of the original Clavinet D6! 60 + 4 different Clavinet sounds from a single instrument at your disposal! Stereo piano sample playback capability - A completely remade piano sample playback engine with stereo playback capability. Great for the new V2.0 Acoustic Grand piano sound, for example. Greatly enhanced piano polyphony - Thanks to the remade piano sample playback engine the polyphony for piano sounds is now greatly enhanced. Thanks to the enhanced polyphony and to the improved voice allocation system there will be no problems with voice theft. Extended piano note ranges The new piano sample playback engine made it possible for us to extend the note ranges for the piano instruments. Piano release sounds - The new piano sample playback engine also made it possible for Clavia to digitally model the sounds you get when you release keys on a piano instrument. For example, the Clavinet and the Wurlitzer have very characteristic key release sounds. In V2.0 this is very faithfully modeled. Brand new piano samples - The V2.0 Software Upgrade package comes with remade and improved piano instruments that benefit from the new sample playback engine features. New piano sounds are available now for download - free of charge. USB download capability - V2.0 fully supports USB download of new Electro piano samples. Now you will be able to download new piano instrument samples using our specially developed Electro Tool sample dump program for Mac and PC. Improved effects in the Effects section - V2.0 also features great new "vintage style" effects in the Effects section. We also beefed up the the Overdrive distortion to sound more like an overdriven tube amplifier. Individual output routing for the Organ and Piano sections - Now you can route the Organ and Piano sections to separate outputs! Great if you want to process the instruments differently using external effects. Adjustable key click level for the Organ sounds - Now you can adjust the level of the modeled organ key click to suit your taste.
