September 1, 2002The Spectral and Sound Designers plugin packs have been updated to versions 1.3 and 2.2 respectively.
The Spektral plugins pack was renamed the Spectral plugins pack to avoid any
confusion with Native Instruments' SPEKTRAL DELAY.
The Spectral plug-ins consist of three DSP plug-ins available in Direct X media and
VST PC formats. The package features Spectral Shaper, an FFT based 4096-band equalizer-like effect, Spectral eXtractor, an adaptive, self-tuning bandpass filter following the center frequency with controllable asymmetric band curve and shape, Spectral Morpher, a plug-in that allows you to completely alter the Source sample according to another, loaded (Target) sample with 11 transformation modes, along with three banks of presets created by Martin Walker, PC Notes Columnist, SOS Magazine
New in version 1.3:
- A lot of optimizations
- Monitoring Off available for best performance.
- New Clear Morph mode in the Spectral Morpher plugin.
- Improved edit mode in the Spectral Shaper.
- Fixed several installer issues.
- Double click on control element, reset it to default value.
- Better VST version, fixed Logic Audio crash when removed plugin from slot.
- In/Out gain knobs.
Spectral plugins pack system requirements: CPU: 500 Mhz (800 MHz highly recommended), 128 Mb, Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP, Direct X Media Runtime 6.0 or later.

The Sound Designers plug-ins contain three DSP plug-ins
in both DirectX and VST PC formats:
Phat, a subharmonic low frequency synthesizer, PitchShift multiband, a multiband formant pitch shifter with preserving duration, daBomb, a distortion machine with 2 modes: clipper+saturator and physical modeled tubescreamer, and Phat Pro DX, is an enhanced version of Phat plug-in features two algorithms for bass extract.
Version 2.2 offers numerous optimizations for Intel Pentium processors and cosmetic fixes.
