Unity Session 3.0.1 for Mac OS X and OS 9 Update Ready May 7, 2002
BitHeadz, Inc., the music software
manufacturer, has released "Unity Session", version 3.0.1 MSRP $649.00. The
update is free to Unity Session owners. Version 3.0.1 adds features, and
also fixes known performance issues with third party products.
Unity Session now works correctly on computers equipped with the Griffin
G-Port with Mark of the Unicorn's Digital Performer 3. Interapplication
Communication has also been enhanced to better support Unity Session Banks
and Names when published in DP3.
The Gigasampler file format has also been updated to correctly support
volume levels in zones using multiple velocity switched samples.
According to BitHeadz President Steven O'Connell, "Unity Session was
designed to provide the best of BitHeadz technology in one package. Now,
thanks to our loyal users feedback, and our development partners at Mark of
the Unicorn, we are showing our commitment to that goal by releasing this
update to Unity Session within four weeks of the it's initial release."
In addition, BitHeadz 'Osmosis' conversion utility for converting Roland and
Akai samples has improved 'merge zones' capabilities. Other added features
include Pan & Tremolo audio plugins, Unity Session Editor sample munge
reverse, splits, fade, divide, and mix. The Editor Table munge has added
noise, brass, and glottal tables to its pallete. Also improved in version
3.0.1 is SoundFont II import.
