New Maintenance Kit for WX5 Wind Synths from WindWorks Design
May 25, 2002
WindWorks Design has introduced a
maintenance kit designed for WX5 wind synthesizer controllers.
The WX5 Maintenance Kit includes a WX5 reed, mouthpiece patches, a cleaning
brush, a screwdriver set, Silicone7 lubricant, and an instruction sheet with
critical instrument setup information, all in a handy carrying-case.
Since the mouthpiece is an integral part of a wind controller, maintenance
and cleaning is important to keep the instrument is good playing condition.
The kit provides all the tools and parts necessary to properly maintain,
clean and protect a WX mouthpiece. The included instruction sheet tells not
only how to use the tools and parts supplied in the kit, but also provides
critical instrument setup information on gain, zero and switch settings,
which beginning players will find very helpful.
Professional players will find the kit useful to take along on gigs, keeping
spare parts and tools on hand, right when they may be needed most. The
carrying case has room to store spare mouthpieces and other accessories.
"This kit really makes setting up and maintaining a WX a pleasure", said Ken
Barry, president of Interface Music Corporation, wind synth player, and
inventor of the Wirething guitar pick. "Obviously a lot of real world needs
were addressed here. It's definitely a time-saver."
