101 Essential Phrases and Riffs Released for Band-in-a-Box

Series for its Band-in-a-Box intelligent music accompaniment software. There are five sets in the
series, consisting of 101 Essential Phrases for Jazz Piano; 101 Essential Phrases All Instruments; 101
Essential Riffs for Blues Piano; 101 Essential Riffs for Country Guitar; and 101 Essential Riffs for Bluegrass
Guitar.
One of the ways to learn the language of soloing is to practice and learn the essential well known
phrases or riffs in the genre. Each "Essential" set includes 101 riffs and phrases common to their genre of
music. All riffs are Band-in-a-Box files and allow the user to: play and hear the files, transpose in all 12
keys, slow down for further study, view or printout the notation, and watch the on-screen guitar fretboard or
piano keyboard. With the Band-in-a-Box Copy From..To.. command users can quickly copy and transpose
any phrase or riff for playback and practice.
The 101 Essential Phrases for Jazz Piano includes 101 of the greatest and most commonly used right hand
Jazz piano phrases, all in Band-in-a-Box format. Each one has a Memo with a short description and includes
separate files of each riff transposed into all twelve keys.
The commonly used Jazz licks in the 101 Essential Jazz Phrases for All Instruments will work with any
instrument - guitar, bass, piano, vibes, trumpet, saxophones, woodwinds, trombone or any other horns.
Each phrase or riff is a short Band-in-a-Box file complete with a descriptive memo and includes separate
files of each riff transposed into all twelve keys.
The Essential Riffs for Blues Piano is a collection of 101 of the most commonly used right hand piano Blues
phrases and riffs in Band-in-a-Box format. Each one has a Memo with a short description. Users can
practice and learn these phrases in any key at any tempo. Additional files with each riff transposed to C, F
and G are also included.
The 101 Essential Riffs for Country Guitar includes 101 of the hottest Country guitar licks. Each phrase is a short Band-in-a-Box file with a descriptive memo. The phrases range in
difficulty from easy to advanced and includes lots of bends, vibrato and quasi-steel guitar licks. Each lick
was played on guitar and displays correctly on the Guitar Fretboard window. Many of the riffs include an
audio memo by Country Guitar Riff Recorder Mike Harrison. Users can transpose, view or print the music
and listen to Mike's comments for further study.
The 101 Essential Riffs for Bluegrass Guitar is a great way for users to learn the most commonly used
Bluegrass riffs. Each of these 101 phrases displays correctly on the Guitar Fretboard window which can
correctly display the fingering on a guitar, mandolin, ukulele, bass or banjo fretboard. While learning the riffs,
users can toggle through the notes manually, or slow down the tempo and loop the lick.
