Anwida has updated their DirectX reverb plug-in to version 2.0, including a free version. DX Reverb offers a palette of reverb effects, a total of 11, ranging from inverse and gated reverberation to plate
reverbs and halls, all with an easy-to-use interface.
Anwida has also released a free version, DX Reverb Light 2.0, which is identical to the standard version except that only one of the 11 algorithms is included and the MIDI support for automation/preset changes is missing.
New features include in DX Reverb 2.0:
- Full MIDI implementation for parameter automation and preset recall via standard MIDI messages
- Built-in preset manager
- New presets
- Parameter values can be inserted manually
- New graphic user interface (GUI)
Main features of DX Reverb 2.0:
- 11 different reverb algorithms (2 small rooms, 2 medium rooms, 2 large rooms/halls, 2 plate reverbs, 2 gate reverbs, 1 inverse reverb)
- True stereo reverbs that will not affect stereo imaging
- 64 bit internal precision
- 24bit/96Khz audio support
- Highly optimized DSP code
- Ultra clean and noiseless processing
- Full MIDI support
- 60 factory presets
- Built-in preset manager
- The value of control parameters can be inserted manually
- Stereo out (mono->stereo, stereo->stereo)
Requirements:
- Any DirectX compatible audio host application
- 200 MHz Pentium processor or 100% equivalent
- Microsoft Windows 9x/Me/NT4/2000/XP
- Microsoft's DirectX Media 5.2 or higher
- At least 32MB RAMopius
