Sennheiser is introducing three new 800 Series vocal microphones - the E 815S, E 816S
and the E 817S - giving musicians and vocalists more choices in
the German-made Evolution 800 Mic Series.
Distinguished by their new and colorful single unit blister packs, each of
the new 800 Series microphones are packaged with either an XLR-XLR cable, an
XLR-1/4" or a mic clip, making them a virtual 'sell-off-the shelf'
sensation.
The cardioid polar pattern capsules on all three microphones are designed to deliver warm
and transparent sound while effectively rejecting rear sounds. Housed in
rugged metal bodies that provide durable performance as well as good
suppression of handling noise, the mics also offer excellent feedback
rejection.
The E 815S features a silent lockable on/off switch and is intended for speech, vocal or instrument applications. The E 816S, also equipped with
an on/off switch, delivers a higher output enabling it to cut through the mix
even when stage volume levels are excessive. And the E 817S is especially
suitable for lead vocalists with its wide frequency response.
