New Squareneck Tricone from Johnson
May 26, 2003
Johnson has introduced the new Squareneck Tricone (JM-991-S), allowing slide players can get that unique tricone sound in a squareneck design.
The Johnson Squareneck Tricone features three 6" handspun aluminum cones that radiate this guitars tone through the body of the guitar. The cones are positioned for EQ balancing, and as such, this tricone is characterized by a sweeter, warmer, if not more complex sound than a single cone resonator.
The Johnson Squareneck Tricone also boasts a T-shaped bridge, rather than the normal biscuit bridge found on a single cone. This unique bridge connects to the center of all three handspun cones. This tricone also features gold plank tuners and a classic slotted headstock for dependable action and reduced string slippage.
